Personality Dimensions and Education

Personality Dimensions® system is the primary tool for self assessment which serves the principal vehicle to accept and respect different life values and work styles.

Workshop Objective:

Personality Dimensions® is the vehicle by which educators can become aware of their own strengths and values, as well as the strengths and values of their students. Educators will be able to design and implement curriculum components to more effectively work with their students and help students to gain a greater sense of self-worth as well as an ability to recognize and maximize their natural preferences in a variety of school experiences. The ability to work well in groups and teams, as well as independently is more important than ever in preparing students for their life path.

Examples of Students Different Personality Styles: Motivating Learning and Achievement

Blue – “When I believe my teachers care about me, my feelings and my ideas, I am willing to learn anything and everything from them. I enjoy role playing and acting out the drama in people’s lives…”

Gold – “I like to plan ahead, so I appreciate teachers who are very specific about their expectations, procedures and due dates. This allows me to have a sense of focus…”

Green – “I want to learn. I believe it is important for me to respect you before I can learn from you, Sometimes I find it is necessary to question your knowledge. I like to have some degree of freedom in selecting topics and projects…”

Orange – “Although I usually believe that there isn’t anything I cannot do, I will admit I may have little motivation to complete homework assignments which I consider boring. I like more competitive activities as alternate where I can participate, demonstrate or practice my skills…”
